
As with all forms of yoga, Tantra is a spiritual path. It is a practice and a means of realising your inner connection. Tantra Yoga is primarily practised through connection and breathwork - individually, with a partner or in a group. There is also a focus on strengthening life-force energy to enhance your awareness, connection and overall well-being.

Sexual energy is a powerful life-force that is at times utilised during the practice of Tantra Yoga. However, contrary to the common misconception in the Western world, Tantra is not all about sex. Our beings are influenced by different energies and vibrational fields. A given vibration is often affected by our mental and emotional states and can manifest in different ways. A common example is creativity and anger - these are two different manifestations of the same type of energy. With a little awareness, anger can be redirected to produce strong creative energy, which is far more constructive. Similarly, with awareness and practise, sexual energy can be redirected through the higher chakras to benefit you on all levels of your being. This is one part of Tantra Yoga.
